Cherry Tomato  & Burrata Caprese

Enjoy this burrata caprese recipe that mimics traditional caprese flavors but uses cherry tomatoes and  burrata cheese instead of mozzarella for a creamier interesting dish.

– burrata cheese ball – 2 cups sliced fresh cherry tomatoes –  fresh chopped basil – extra virgin olive oil –  balsamic vinegar or balsamic glaze – flaky sea salt and black pepper to taste – extra basil leaves for garnish

Ingredients:

Drain the burrata bowl and place it into the center of a serving platter.

Arrange slices of harvested tomatoes and halved cherry or grape tomatoes around the burrata ball. Tuck in some fresh basil leaves around the edges.

Make an X in the middle of the top of the burrata ball and gently peel back the sections a little. Sprinkle the chopped basil over the tomatoes. Drizzle extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar all over the platter.

Finish with a dash of salt and black pepper. Serve with baguette slices for an appetizer or alone as a side dish salad..
