Au Gratin Potatoes Recipe

This easy potatoes au gratin recipe is the perfect side dish for any meal. Something the cheese lovers will enjoy and a great dish to bring to the party.

ingredients  – russet potatoes –  cheddar cheese  – whole milk –  butter –  flour – salt and pepper

Peel and slice potatoes paper-thin using a mandoline.

Make a cheese sauce by creating a roux then adding the shredded cheese.

Layer half of the potatoes in a greased  pan. Pour half of the cheese sauce over top. Add remaining potatoes, and cheese sauce.

Top with remaining 1/2 cup of cheese. Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour.

 Remove foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes to brown the top.

Great with ham, roast beef or turkey for your next holiday meal.
