This baked halibut with a crunchy chickpea topping was inspired by a local restaurant's Italian breadcrumb topping called ala Louie.

2 - 5- ounce halibut fillets 1/2 cup chickpea crumbs 1/8 cup olive oil or butter 2 cloves garlic grated 1 teaspoon fresh parsley chopped salt and pepper lemon to serve
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Clean fish and set it in a baking dish that has been sprayed with vegetable oil.
Salt and pepper the fillets.
In a bowl combine chickpea crumbs, olive oil, garlic, and parsley. Mix well.
Divide the crumb topping evenly over both fillets.
Bake for 20 - 25 minutes, until the side looks opaque and can be flaked with a fork.
