Kitchen Sink Cookies

Here's a great recipe that you can go to town on. Three kinds of chips, pretzels, and nuts go into this delicious decadent cookie everyone will love.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup shortening or butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup of white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 12 oz mini chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup white chips
  • 1/2 cup butterscotch chips
  • 1/2 cup crushed pretzels
  • 1/2 cup pecan pieces
  • 1/2 cup toffee bits

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Mix flour, salt and baking soda in a mixing bowl and set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl cream together shortening/butter with brown and white sugar.
  • Add eggs and mix well.
  • Add vanilla extract and mix.
  • Slowly add in the flour mixture about 1/3 at a time.
  • Next add in the chips, pretzels, and nuts a little at a time and mix by hand until well incorporates.
  • Drop dough onto cookie sheets and bake for approximately 5 minutes before switching shelves. (bottom to top and top to bottom)
  • Cook for another 5 minutes or until cookies are a light golden brown.
  • Remove and cool on a cooling rack.
