Equipment
Scissors
Pruners
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Materials
Large plastic water or other beverage bottle
Masking or painter's tape
Black spray paint or craft paint
Twigs from the yard
Instructions
Cut the plastic bottle to your desired height.
Wrap masking or painter's tape on the cut edge.
Spray paint the container with black spray paint.
Gather somewhat straight sticks and twigs from the yard.
Cut them about 1/4 taller than the plastic cup.
Hot glue the twigs onto the plastic.
Fill with water and flowers.
Notes
Consider wearing a disposable glove when working with hot glue for protection.If you plan to use this indoors you may want to cook any bugs out of the wood by placing the twigs on a baking sheet in a 200 degree oven for 1 hour.You can continue to decorate the vase with ribbon, a piece of twine, or raffia tied around the middle or top. However, I like the natural look just as it is.
