  • 6 tablespoons + 2 teaspoons chili seasoning
  • 3 tablespoons + 1 teaspoon ground poblano peppers
  • 1 tablespoon + 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 3 tablespoons + 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2.5 teaspoons ground cayenne
  • 2.5 teaspoons ground coriander
  • 2.5 teaspoons sea salt
  • 1.25 teaspoons ground smoked paprika
  • 1.25 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1.25 teaspoons ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Measure out each spice into a mixing bowl.
  • Mix well with a spoon or wire whisk.
  • Pour into an 8 ounce container with a tight lid.
  • Print out the label above and tape or glue it to the jar.

Notes

I like to use 2 tablespoons for a large pot of chili. That typically includes fresh peppers, onions, and garlic with 1 pound of meat, 3 cans of beans, and a large can of crushed tomatoes.
Feel free to vary your ingredients. However, you may also need to edit the label.
This mixture is on the mild side. One easy way to spice it up is to use some hot fresh peppers in the chili. You can also use spicy chili beans.
