Here's a fast and easy recipe for fall or winter using fresh apples. No fillers are needed for a tasty dessert that lets the flavor of the fruit shine.
Toss the apples with lemon juice and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon.
In a separate bowl make the topping by combining flour, oats, sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
Add melted butter and mix well.
Place apples in a large baking dish. Cover with topping by heaping it in the middle and gently spreading it down to the sides.
Place baking dish on a cookie sheet to catch any juices that may spillover.
Bake at 350 for 1 hour or until apples have softened
