Sauteed Fresh Green Beans with Garlic and Asiago Cheese

This recipe for sauteed fresh green beans is the perfect side dish for just about any meal. It's certainly a go-to in our house.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound fresh green beans
  • 2 cloves garlic sliced thin
  • 1/2 cup grate Asiago cheese
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions
 

  • Clean beans and then place them into a pot of boiling with salt for about 2 mins.
  • Remove beans and place in a large bowl of ice water for 2 mins. Drain.
  • In a large saute pan heat olive oil.
  • Add garlic slices and stir until golden. 30 secs to 1 min.
  • Remove garlic and set aside.
  • Add the blanched green beans and sautee in the garlic oil for 2 minutes on high.
  • Remove from heat and toss with Asiago cheese and garlic slices.

Notes

If you're not a big fan of garlic you can leave them out in the end.
