Fall Leaf Garland DIY for a Cheery Colorful Mantel

Use the included free leaf template to make a pretty fall leaf garland from felt. This will look great on a mantel, or buffet table. Plus, it's super easy to make!

Equipment

  • Hot glue gun and glue sticks

Materials

  • Felt in fall colors
  • Sisal roping
  • Floral wire stems

Instructions

  • Start by printing out the leaf template on cardstock.
  • Cut out each leaf.
  • Trace the leaf patterns on pieces of felt and cut them out.
  • Hot glue each leaf onto a floral wire stem in the center.
  • Cover the entire length of the leaf leaving enough wire for wrapping.  
  • Cut the sisal rope to the length you need.
  • Start at one end and wrap a leaf onto the sisal rope.
  • Add another leaf overlapping the previous leaf slightly.
  • Continue adding leaves until you fill-up the garland.
  • Decorate with your leaf garland.
