1/2 cup butter softened 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1 cup light brown sugar 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract 2 large eggs 2.5 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 2 cups chocolate chips
In a medium mixing bowl sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In a large mixing bowl combine butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Beat with a mixer until well combined and creamy.
Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the sugar mixture and beat well.
Slowly add the flour mixture to the sugar mixture about 1/3 at a time. Mix well.
Finally, stir in the chocolate chips by hand.
Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to create cookie dough balls and place them onto baking trays.
Bake in a 350-degree oven for 7 minutes.
Remove the baking sheets and switch them in the oven with the bottom baking sheet moved to the top and the top sheet to the bottom.
Continue to bake for another 7 minutes or until the cookies are a light golden brown.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Repeat until all the dough is baked.
