Cut some of the oreo cookies in half with a large butcher's knife. (optional)
Place the remaining cookies in a plastic bag and crush them slightly with a rolling pin.
Whip the cream with a hand mixer or stand mixer until it has stiff peaks.
Fold in the sweetened condensed milk.
Fold in the crushed cookies.
Transfer the ice cream mixture to a loaf pan.
Place the cut cookies on top for decoration. (optional)
Cover with plastic wrap making sure to press gently into the cream.
Freeze for 4 hours or more.

It took me about 9 minutes to whip the cream using a hand mixer. A stand mixer might make this time much quicker or at least you can walk away from it.You can add a teaspoon of vanilla extract to make a delicious vanilla ice cream.Feel free to swap out the Oreo cookies for your favorite cookies or candies.Use this recipe to make ice cream sandwiches or sundaes with chocolate syrup.This ice cream can be stored in a covered freezer container for about 1 week.
