Try this easy whipped brie dip for a great appetizer to bring or serve at any party. The texture is light and creamy and you can top it with your favorite jam.
Trim the rind off the cold wheels of brie with a vegetable peeler or serrated knife.
Cut up the brie into small cubes.
Let the brie cubes set and warm up (about 15 minutes)
Meanwhile cut up vegetables, fruit slices, or bread rounds
Once the brie is at room temperature place them into a food processor.
Process for 30 seconds until it comes together and gets creamy.
Scrape down the sides with a rubber spatula and blend again for another 10 seconds or so. The cheese should have the consistency of frosting.
Transfer the cheese to a serving bowl and top it will jam, honey or oil.
Notes
I used triple cream brie cheese but you can use double cream brie cheese or regular brie but it may take a little longer to whip.
You can use an electric mixer to whip the brie, however, it will take several minutes to get it to the right consistency.
Make sure that the brie is cold when cut off the rind. Then make sure that it comes to room temperature before whipping.
If making ahead store the whipped brie alone in an airtight container. Before serving take it out of the refrigerator, bring it back to room temperature, and hand whip it a bit before adding the toppings.
