Baked Rigatoni with Sausage Recipe

1 pound Rigatoni Pasta 1 pound Sweet Italian Sausage (ground) 28 ounce Can of Crushed Tomatoes 2 cloves Garlic grated Salt and Pepper 1 cup Onion diced 2 tablespoons Olive Oil 2 tablespoons Fresh Basil finely chopped 1.5 cups Italian Cheese Blend shredded 1 cup Provolone Cheese shredded
Boil the rigatoni noodles according to the box directions. Rinse in cold water.
Meanwhile, saute onions in olive oil on medium-high heat until softened. About 3 minutes.
Add ground Italian sausage and brown until there is no pink showing.
Add grated garlic and stir.
Add crushed tomatoes, salt and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Pour some sauce into the bottom of a 3 quart casserole dish. (9 x 13)
Mix the rigatoni noodles with the rest of the sauce and the Italian blend cheese mix together in a large bowl.
Transfer the mixture to the casserole dish and top with grated provolone cheese.
Cover loosely with aluminum foil.
Bake for 20 minutes in a 350 degree oven.
Remove the foil and place the dish under the broiler for 3 - 5 minutes to brown the cheese on top.
