Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 pounds black cherrries ~ 3 cups
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup quick oats or whole
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup melted butter 1 stick

Instructions
 

  • Wash and pit cherries.
  • Roughly cut pitted cherries.
  • Mix lemon juice with cherries
  • Spray an 8x8 baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Toss in cherries.
  • In a separate mixing bowl stir flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt together.
  • Then add in the melted butter and mix until well combined.
  • Pour the crisp topping evenly over the center of the cherries heaping in the middle and spreading outward.
  • Bake uncovered in a 350-degree oven for 40 minutes.
  • Cool and serve alone with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
