Blueberry Brown Betty
This tasty dessert is made with fresh blueberries and breadcrumbs for a sweet treat called Blueberry Brown Betty.

4 cups fresh blueberries ~ 2 pints juice of 1/2 a lemon ~ 2 tablespoons 2.5 cups panko bread crumbs 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/2 cup melted butter 1/2 cup brown sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Grease an 8 x 8 in baking pan
Toss the blueberries with lemon juice, cinnamon, and brown sugar.
In a separate bowl combine breadcrumbs and melted butter.
Add about 1/2 of the berries to the baking pan.
Top with half of the breadcrumbs.
Repeat
Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 40 minutes.
Remove the foil and place the pan under the broil for 1-2 minutes to brown the top. This will happen very quickly.
Serve warm plain or with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
Make this with apples or other fresh fruit.
Consider placing a cookie sheet under the baking pan to catch any overflow.
