How to Make a Cake Stand

Here's an easy tutorial that will show you how to create a cake stand with thrift store vintage plates and a candlestick.

Materials

  • Glass platter or plate
  • Glass candlestick
  • Glass glue

Instructions

  • Wash and dry the plate and candlestick.
  • Apply the glass glue to the top of the candlestick.
  • Quickly set the glass platter or plate onto the candlestick.
  • Hold in place for 30-60 seconds.
  • Leave the cake stand alone for 1 hour to set up.

Notes

Look for dishes that have a nice flat bottom, especially in the center.
You can use different items as the base either in their normal position or upside down. Glass cups, dessert cups, ice cream cups etc...
