4 straight branches to create a loom
Twine, string, or yarn
Natural materials such as flowers, leaves, weeds, feathers, herbs, and other pretty plant material.
Instructions
Create a loom frame by lashing four sticks around the same width at the corners to make a rectangular shape.
Next, wrap the twine from one side to the other close together to create the weft. Make sure to go around the end branches twice for added support.
Start weaving stems from flowers and other gathered materials.
Continue to fill the loom with all your nature materials until you like the way it looks.
Tie a small loop with the twine to the top of the nature loom in the back to use as a hanger.
Hang your final product and enjoy.
Notes
Note: No warp is necessary in this weaving project. As the plant material dries, it will shrink. This is a good time to add more if you like to keep the nature weaving together and looking good.
