DIY Wax Seal Stamps Made with Heirloom Buttons

This tutorial will show you how to create your own wax seal stamp using heirloom buttons. They are perfect to add to your stationery, holiday cards, wedding invitations, or special thank you letters.

Equipment

  • Hot glue gun

Materials

  • Antique Heirloom or New Buttons
  • Wine Corks - New or Used
  • Mini Wooden Candlesticks
  • Rub N Buff wax optional
  • Sealing Wax

Instructions

  • Gather buttons old and new.
  • Attach them with hot glue to a wine cork. 
  • You can also use mini wooden candlestick holders which are the perfect size for these buttons.
  • Use Rub 'n Buff® to enhance them, or paint or stain them any way you like.

Notes

To use: Hold a wax stick to an open flame melt and let the wax drip onto the point of the envelope flap. Then press the wax stamp into the melted wax.
