Toss apples with lemon juice and cinnamon in a large mixing bowl.
Add oats, milk, brown sugar, salt, and vanilla to the apples and stir.
Pour into the greased baking pan.
Top with a few decorative slices of apples in the middle if desired.
Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
