How to Grow a Lettuce Bowl
Enjoy growing salad bowl lettuce in a container with cut-and-come-again or loose-leaf greens that you can enjoy over and over again.

- Large low bowl with good drainage holes 6 inch depth
- Potting Soil
- Mesclun seed packet leaf lettuce
Fill a large low planter with good potting soil that you have pre-wet.
Sprinkle some of the mesclun seeds all over the top.
Add a little bit more soil just to cover.
Spray the seeds with a spray bottle filled with water.
Place in a spot that gets full sun (6 or more hours of sunlight) but is a little shaded in peak afternoon heat hours.
Harvest by cutting individual leaves with scissors, leaving about an inch above the soil level.
The leaves will then re-grow and you can cut more to eat again.
