Friday Favorites June

This month I want to share with you some of my favorite plants that have beautiful foliage.

Geranium phaeum ‘Samobor’ - Perennial geranium with beautiful purple markings on the leaves.

Lady's Mantle (Alchemilla mollis) — Ladys Mantle has pretty scalloped leaves that hold water droplets after the rain. Long ago people actually collected the droplets to make healing potions.

Japanese Painted Fern (Athyrium niponicum) — Japanese Painted Fern. Its beauty speaks for itself.

Barrenwort (Epimedium perralderianum) - One of the first to arrive in the spring. Beautiful heart-shaped leaves with red markings.

Dark foliage Dahlia — I bought this at a roadside vendor. The tag just says Dahlia so I don't know the variety. The flower is really pretty but it was the dark foliage that caught my eye.

Stonecrop Sedum — And finally, for the succulent lover, Sedum 'Maestro' a gorgeous blue-green with purple edges & stems and it is hardy to my zone 6a garden.
