- Pencil
- Printable Card Stock Paper or purchased scrapbook paper

Making the Gift Card Holders
Step 1. Click on either of the images above. (red and white or berries and greens), and print them out. Choose "print on both sides" from your printer command and choose "flip on the short side."

Step 2. With the printed side facing down, fold the bottom of the card holder up to where the paper starts to arc.

Step 3. Then fold the top down to the bottom edge. Use a pencil, bone folder, or even your fingernail to create a good crease to the folds on the top and bottom.

Step 4. Open the card holder and place your gift card in the center of the upper area. Use a pencil to make a light dot on the upper right corner and the lower left corner.

Step 5. Then, use an exacto knife to make a slit all the way through the paper, slightly inside the dots. Remember to put something underneath, as the knife will go through and damage a table.

Step 6. Erase the pencil dots and insert your gift card. You can then write a personal message on the bottom portion.

Step 7. Use a pretty sticker to close the gift card holder.

Or simply use some double-sided tape.
Using Purchased Paper
You can use the blank template to print on paper you have purchased, or cut one out and trace around it. Click on the image to get the pdf file of the blank template to print it.

I purchased this book of holiday scrapbook paper to try. You can find these in books and single sheets at craft stores or online.

Once you've cut out the blank template, you can trace it on the paper and continue with the same instructions as before.

Just note that depending on the orientation, the image may come out upside down when you fold it like the one at the bottom right in the image above. Honestly, I don't think it looks bad, but it is worth noting because many of the sheets in the book are oriented in one direction.

It's a quick way to whip up a gift card holder at the last minute or use up some of your craft paper in your stash. One less thing to add to your shopping list.
