This easy DIY Christmas ornament wreath will be the show stopper on your front door, mantel, or anywhere in your home without a whole lot of effort.

You can buy them, but they are easy to make too. I picked up a giant package from Amazon, but I've also seen them at discount stores and dollar stores, making this fun Christmas craft even more affordable.

Three different sized red ornaments with different textures.

I purchased a large package of red ornaments in different sizes and textures. However, you can use multiple colors. The key is to have varying sizes.

    An 18-inch wire wreath frame.

This 18-inch wire wreath form was bought at Dollar Tree. You can find them at all kinds of craft stores, such as Michaels or Walmart, or maybe you can reuse one from Christmases past.

You could even try making a wreath base from a wire coat hanger, but I'd make it a little smaller so that it would be sturdy enough to handle all the ornaments.

How to Make an Ornament Wreath

Step 1. Make clusters by using floral wire to tie together several ornaments of different sizes and textures.

I used mostly sets of five as shown above. (PS...Save some of the smaller ornaments to fill empty spaces later.)

Step 2. Tie the clusters to the wire wreath, keeping them close together.

Step 3. Leave space at the top to add a pretty bow.

Step 4. Create a bow and tie it to the open space at the top.

Step 5. Then, hot glue some of the ornaments together for stability, and glue smaller ornaments in open spaces to round out the wreath.

It takes a little while to get all the ornaments on the wreath, but it's a project that you can easily create in an afternoon. Doesn't it scream "Merry Christmas?"

Hint glue caps to ornament first, no dropping ornaments. Great easy project.
