I was recently contacted by Holly at Chairish to create a styleboard of some of their beautiful vintage pieces from their latest collections. Chairish is an online mega swap meet for designers, or anyone to buy and sell vintage furniture, accessories, even jewelry. What a great idea, huh? They even have an iphone app which you can find here.
For my styleboard I chose a beautiful French, Louis XVI armchair, in my favorite color, as my inspiration. I pared this beautiful piece with some great neutral white pieces and a couple of darker elements to ground the space. How about the pineapple lamp. Did you know the pineapple is a symbol of hospitality? I think anyone would feel welcome in this space. To round out the look I added a couple of accents that I also found on Charish. Botanical prints, of course, and a pretty blue and white print throw pillow. All I need now is a little greenery from the garden.

It's a really great site, giving you the ability to search for items by location, color, style, price, even shipping-- which is sometimes free. So if you love to antique, thrift or estate sale shop but don’t want to brace the elements you can check out Chairish and shop from the comfort of your own home.

What a fun website to explore. I was going to take a quick peek and ended up losing track of time while I explored! Some really nice, unique items there! I have my eye on a couple of things : ).
