Options and Substitutions
- Beef - I use flank steak but you could substitute skirt steak, flat-iron steak, or beef sirloin.
- Rice Vinegar - You can use white wine vinegar, apple cider vinegar, or some white wine as a substitute.
- Broccoli - You don't have to use frozen florets. Often the grocery store will sell fresh florets. Or you can use a whole stalk of broccoli. Just make sure to cut it up into small sections.
- Carrots - I add carrot sticks for color and flavor but they are optional. At the same time, you could add a few other vegetables such as chopped celery, bell peppers, sliced mushrooms, or snow peas.
- Tamari - I like to use tamari instead of soy sauce as it's less salty but has a great flavor. Soy sauce is perfectly fine for this recipe too.

Serve with a side of rice or make it low carb and skip the rice or use rice cauliflower.
Any leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for a few days.

And, if you are a fan, you can serve it in a bowl over rice and enjoy it with your chopsticks.
