Easy $20 Flower Arrangement

flowerbouquetA great pick-me-up during this dreary winter weather is a beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers for you home. Here’s an easy way to arrange them. The best part is I only spent $20 at the grocery store. Depending on your store, or the time of year, you could probably get by with spending even less.

Start with choosing a main flower or two that you like. Next choose a filler. Then see if they have something that has interesting texture or maybe something that will cascade or drape over the vase.

4 bunches from the grocery store

Place a packet of plant food that came with the flowers and fill your vase about 1/3 of the way. Next tape the vase leaving 1/2 – 1 inch holes to help the flowers stay in place.

Start adding your focal flowers, turning the vase to view all sides.

Add in your filler material.

Finally add in your texture or cascading material.
