This easy DIY will show you how to add some whimsical garden art to your landscape using a watering can with crystals that look like water.

This is a fun piece of garden art you can create in minutes. Use an old watering can or buy a new one and attach strings of crystals to make it look like it's pouring water.

Supplies to make the craft including a watering can, crystal garlands, silver wire and needle nose pliers.

How to Make a Watering Can Pouring Crystals

    Supplies

    • Needle nose pliers
    • Crystal Garlands
    • Silver wire
    • Shepherd's Hook

    Step 1 - Gather Materials

Gather the few items you'll need which includes a watering can, some thin wire, a few strands of crystals, and a pair of needle nose pliers.

Note: You need a watering can that has a handle on the back so that it will hang with the crystals coming out like pouring watering. However, this is a perfect craft for an old watering can so check out your thrift stores and yard sales for a good one.

P.S. You may find crystal chandelier parts at thrift stores too.

You could also try to make something similar with beads or tiny lights if you don't have access to or want to buy crystals.

Adding a small bit of silver wire to the end of the crystal strand with a hooked end.

Step 2 - Prepare the Crystals for Hanging

Cut small pieces of wire and attach them through the end loops of the crystal garland. Crimp one end with the pliers and bend the other end for hanging.

One crystal strand hooked into the spout of the watering can.

Step 3 - Attach Crystal Garland to Nozzle

Next thread the bent end into the nozzle or spout of the watering can.

Spread out the crystal strands/garland evenly when hanging them onto the spout. I ended up using four garlands but you could use more if you like. You could also take apart the garlands to make shorter pieces for a different look.

Hang the watering can pouring crystals from a shepherd's hook in your yard.

You could also hang one from a shorter hook just above a large planter for a different look. In that case, you might want to use a smaller watering can.

Just another cute garden art craft that will look great all season long. They are so easy to create. Wouldn't they make great gifts?
