This printable Thanksgiving banner will look great on your mantel or anywhere in your home where you want to add a little thankful decor.

Here's a fun banner that you can hang on your mantel or anywhere you like. I used brown kraft paper but you can use white or any other colored paper you like.

How to Make a Thanksgiving Banner
Supplies
Step 1. Print out the banner on kraft paper or any other heavier card stock paper. (see button below)
Step 2. Cut out the letters. Note: Don't forget to cut the bottom V section like I did.
Step 3. Use a small paper punch to punch holes in the corners.
Step 4. Measure the area you want to hang the banner and cut the twine to length plus extra for tying.
Step 5. Arrange the letters in order on top of each other starting with the G. Note: The acorn acts as a separator between the E in Give and the T in Thanks.
Step 6. Start threading the letters on the twine. Start with the S and thread the end of the twine through the right hole from the top and then bring it up through the left hole.
Step 7. Continue with all the letters as shown above.
Again, I should have cut the bottom of each letter along the lines before this step. However, I eventually realized my mistake and as you can see below I did cut them before hanging the banner.
Options
- Get creative and make this your own. You can use white cardstock or different colored paper just make sure it has enough weight to hang properly.
- Use different colored twine or ribbon to hang your banner.
- Skip the hole punch and use mini clothespins to hang the letters onto the twine.
- Print a couple of extra banners to hang in different parts of your house.
Hang your beautiful Thanksgiving banner for all to see.

I do love a good seasonal banner like yours! But do you have a fire in your fireplace? We use ours often and it is wood burning. I am concerned about a flame up.

Linda, you bring up a good point. That is definitely a concern. However, we never use our fireplace so it's not a problem for me. There are other places I can think of. For example, I could move the wreath and hang it above the mantel on the wall or in the doorway that leads to our dining room.
