Everyone loves the farmhouse style. You know the homes with a ton of white everywhere, somewhat minimalist decor, lots of neutrals. I like it too, but there is no way I can decorate my home in this fashion. First of all, we still have a lot of dark wood everywhere and our main living area has a huge red brick wall with a fireplace that my husband would never let me paint white. So, while I was trying to decorate our home for fall I was thinking more warm and cozy. As a garden lover, fall always has so many beautiful items available free for the picking, like acorns, pine cones, and beautiful colored leaves. I decided to search the web and gather some of my blogging friends best fall nature projects to inspire this year’s home decor.

Many of these items can be found for free in your own backyard or nearby wooded areas. Others can be purchased very inexpensively at a local store.

Great list of fall projects! There all really pretty, but my favorite is the orange garland. I bet it smells amazing. It's been a little cooler here the last couple days. I'm ready for the cooler weather.

        Hi Linda,

Glad you liked the post. I love the orange garland too of course because I'm biased. It smelled good for a while and then the scent faded a bit but it's still pretty.
        Thanks for stopping by,
        Patti

That orange garden is my favorite, it's so pretty!! I remember when you posted it last year. Great list of ideas, we finally got a cold front so it actually has felt like fall in the last couple of days.

Thanks Carole. It's been a popular one. I'm thinking of making something similar for our tree this year.
