A fall home tour brimming with all the beautiful colors of autumn, and filled with several easy diy projects that will inspire your own home decor.
Today I'm sharing a tour of our home all decked out for fall. You will see some of the recent projects I've shared here on the blog and some from years past. This fall home tour is relaxed and simple. And, it's full of all those warm and cozy colors this season is known for. Starting at the front door color abounds with floral pumpkin wreaths, lots of pumpkins, Indian corn with purple husks, and a lush fall inspired planter.

Fall Home Tour
Since the planter and the wreaths were so colorful, I decided to keep the pumpkins and gourds on the neutral side.
On to the most popular room in the house. Our family room is the place where we gather with friends, watch TV, and pretty much spend the majority of our time. DIY projects of old, such as the felted dryer ball pumpkins, wooden pumpkins, and dried orange garland are seen here on the mantel. New this year is a fun upcycled embroidery hoop wreath made from flannel shirts and painted birdhouse gourds.
Don't you love the cozy feel the color brings to the room?
Homemade potpourri made with real apples, orange slices, and cinnamon adds more warmth and a nice fragrance to the coffee table.
This is the time of year that we like to invite friends and family over for dinner. We always host Thanksgiving and usually a football party or two. This year a simple, but colorful, centerpiece adorns the dining table.
I really like this extra long hemstitch tablecloth that doesn't wrinkle much and the neutral color works so well with anything you set on the table.
A fun plaid scarf in autumn colors is the base for this centerpiece.
Natural pumpkins, gourds, and branches of dogwood berries from the garden complete the look.
The popcorn from last year's table centerpiece was reused in smaller vases with candles for the buffet, with more gourds and a basket of fresh apples from a local farm.
Last but not least is the powder room. It's the one place your guests can come and really look around. Make sure it looks good. I reused my felt flower wreath from last year here, and the recent project of melt and pour soap for scent and fall color.
I hope you enjoyed this year's fall home tour, and that it inspires you to create a warm and inviting home of your own.

Patti, your Fall home is filled with color and depth. Everything is so inviting and cozy.😍

Thanks Lisa. That's very kind of you to say so.

I really enjoy how your presentation is so simple and doable. Everything is understated yet so Fall and I like that you reused so much instead of going out to buy new. We are having some major repairs done to our home and I am determined not to spend any $$$ on frivolous things until we have them all paid for so inspiration like this is encouraging!

Hi Pamela,
Thanks for your kind words. I do like to keep it simple and as you know being a blogger keeps me busy enough. Spending money is always an issue and being a homeowner it seems like there's always something that needs to be done.

Beautiful and I love relaxed and simple. It's neat to see all your awesome projects displayed throughout your pretty home. All that natural wood is simply awesome too because it works perfectly with your fall displays. You should do this again for Christmas, Enjoyed!

Thanks Carole,
I've been debating whether to have a house tour for Christmas. Now that you've weighed in maybe I will.

Hi Melinda,
So glad to hear that there are other like-minded decorators other there. I love so many different decor styles but for my home I do like to keep it on the simple side.

I adore the wreath/frame peice you've hung in the bathroom. It's so modern, yet homey, and beautifully colorful. I also love the square pumpkins on the mantle. To me, they bring a geometric-modern twist to autumn, which I feel is usually seen as rustic.

Hi Madi,
Thank you for your kind comment. It means a lot to me.
